Opportunities to Make a Difference
- Project management with overall responsibility: You’ll take on the holistic management of complex construction and permitting projects for plant sites and ensure that deadlines, budgets, and regulatory requirements remain in alignment. In doing so, you’ll make a decisive contribution to the safe and sustainable implementation of infrastructure and energy projects.
- Actively shaping permitting processes: You will plan, coordinate, and oversee permitting, notification, and authorization procedures in accordance with applicable building, urban planning, and environmental laws (e.g., BImSchG, BauGB, B-Plan, and F-Plan) and confidently guide projects through regulatory processes.
- Formal Processes and Facility Acceptance: You organize and manage the entire permitting process through to successful facility acceptance, keeping track of all formal requirements. In doing so, you lay the foundation for a smooth transition to operational use.
- Condition Management and Communication with Authorities: You coordinate conditions resulting from regulatory inspections and monitoring, track their implementation, and maintain close communication with authorities as well as internal departments.
- Interface and Partner Management: You serve as the central point of contact for internal teams, external planning firms, experts, and clients, and efficiently coordinate all project stakeholders. Through clear communication, you drive projects forward in a focused manner.
- Contract Award and Procurement in the Permitting Context: You prepare requests for proposals, solicit bids, and support the awarding of contracts for services related to the permitting process.
What We’re Looking For
- Professional Background: A degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, environmental technology, architecture, or a comparable qualification related to infrastructure or energy projects.
- Professional Experience & Industry Knowledge: Practical experience in construction, permitting management, environmental engineering, or plant safety, as well as in-depth knowledge of construction and environmental law (e.g., BImSchG, BauGB).
- Project Management & Processes: Proficiency in common project management methods (traditional or agile), as well as experience managing complex permitting and planning processes.
- IT and Systems Skills: Proficiency in using MS Office, digital project tools, and ideally software solutions for document management or permitting processes.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Strong negotiation skills, a structured approach to work, and the ability to communicate professionally and in a solution-oriented manner with government agencies, experts, and internal stakeholders.
- Additional Knowledge: Ideally, knowledge in the areas of renewable energy, agricultural facilities, or energy production chains, as well as a strong commitment to sustainability, environmental protection, and climate protection
