Enterprise Architect - Cybersecurity (m/f/d)
TenneT is growing to achieve its strategic goals: We’re tackling the transformation of the energy sector. We’re driving the energy transition! Join us—in a job that truly makes a difference! We’re looking for a passionate Enterprise Architect - Cybersecurity (m/f/d) based in Bayreuth or Lehrte—maybe that’s you?
Your Contribution to TenneT
As an Enterprise Architect - Cybersecurity (m/f/d), you’ll ensure that digital transformation and business strategy are securely enabled through a future-proof, business-aligned security architecture, including governance and an implementation roadmap.
You’ll work closely with the Enterprise Architect and the relevant architecture roles and stakeholders to embed security guidelines as an integral part of the overall architecture (not as a parallel world). In addition, you will lead the substantive work within the architecture community to ensure that decisions and architectural artifacts are consistent, traceable, and ready for decision-making.
Your Contribution to TenneT
Target Security Architecture & Roadmap: You translate cyber trends, market dynamics, and new technologies into a target security architecture and a practical implementation roadmap, and ensure that these are implemented as a binding reference point
Minimum Viable Architectures / Guardrails: You develop and establish minimum viable architectures, standards, reference models, principles, and guardrails via the EA governance model as binding guidelines, and consistently embed security aspects into target architectures across other domains
Architecture Governance & Decision Readiness: You prepare security architecture decisions, ensure that PSAs (Project Start Architectures) align with the target architecture and principles, maintain the Target Security Architecture—including security components in other target architectures—and provide decision-ready documentation for boards
Gap Analyses & Stakeholder Alignment: You evaluate the current architecture with regard to future business capabilities, derive clear decisions and courses of action, achieve alignment with business and IT leads, and resolve conflicts between security requirements and business goals without blocking delivery
Governance & Performance Measurement: You actively participate in cybersecurity governance structures, support transparency, manageability, and traceability, and drive the organization measurably toward “industry-leading resilience and cybersecurity”
Your Profile
Architecture and Security Experience: You have several years of experience in (enterprise/domain) architecture, ideally with a focus on security architecture as well as governance and committee work
Frameworks & Standards: You are proficient in working with common EA and security frameworks and notations such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, NIST, and ISO 27001; relevant certifications are a plus
End-to-End Architecture Capability: You can align security architecture with enterprise architecture, make it manageable across platforms, and derive concrete architectures, standards, and roadmaps from strategic requirements and risk contexts
Communication & Leadership Without Disciplinary Authority: You excel at communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation; you can lead without disciplinary authority, act transparently and pragmatically, and consistently enforce guardrails
Languages: You are fluent in both spoken and written German and English
